a. LSP-Kendall Energy LLC: #05-01922-I-3 (Kendall)
Appellant's first extension was granted 9-8-06 and has
had multiple extensions. The subject property was the
subject matter of a 2001 appeal wherein the Property
Tax Appeal Board ruled that the machinery and
equipment should not be classified and assessed as
real estate. The PTAB's decision was affirmed on
administrative review and the motion for rehearing was
denied in the 2001 appeal on September 24, 2007. The
school districts have 30 days to file petition for
leave to appeal. Taxpayer is requesting an additional
90 days until after the 2001 case is resolved.
b. Reed-Custer Comm. USD #255-U: #06-00222-I-3 (Will)
Appellant's first extension was granted 3-8-07 and has
had extensions up to 9-26-07. Requesting an
additional 90 days up to and including 12-26-07.
Appellant states that because this is a nuclear power
station (Braidwood Nuclear Power Station) the matters
regarding the assessed valuation are extremely
complex.
