OF APPARENT OWNERS OF ABANDONED PROPERTY

RE: Invitation for Bids for the publication of names of apparent owners of abandoned property in McHenry County.
I. Mandatory Requirements
The Office of the Illinois State Treasurer (“Treasurer”), wishes to notify Illinois residents of the fact they appear to be owners of Abandoned Property. To this end, the Treasurer is requesting bids from Vendors which publish an English Language newspaper of general circulation in McHenry County, Illinois to publish the names and addresses of persons appearing to be owners of Abandoned Property with last known addresses in McHenry County, Illinois.
The approximate number of such names and addresses is in a range of 1,400 to 1,600. The information will be forwarded to the successful Vendor along with a short preamble (approximately five (5) paragraphs) and graphics and/or photographs for the front panel. Vendor will also be forwarded an inquiry form, which shall appear on the back panel (physical dimensions: 11” x 7.75”).
Names are to appear in bold type.
Vendor shall be given data supplied by the Treasurer, which must appear along with the names and addresses of the apparent owners of Abandoned Property in the Sunday, August 8, 2004 edition of Vendor’s newspaper. Inside pages will include eight (8) banners (physical dimensions: 1”deep x width of page) with a one (1) point border around each banner.
Inside pages will additionally include five (5) testimonials, only one per page and distributed throughout the publication, with physical dimensions as follows:
1) Three (3) columns x 11.25 inches (space includes 1.25” x 1.25” photograph);
2) Three (3) columns x 4.50 inches (space includes 1.25” x 1.25” photograph);
3) Three (3) columns x 4.25 inches;
4) Three (3) columns x 5.25 inches;
5) Three (3) columns x 4.00 inches.
Vendor shall further include such identical data in the August 8, 2004 publication on its web site on the Internet to remain on the web site for a period of sixty (60) days. The web site data must include links to the above-described testimonials.
