2007 Illinois Secretary of State Antique Vehicle Show

              Please join us on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, for the
58th Illinois Secretary of State Antique Vehicle Show
and Swap Meet at the Old State Capitol area in
downtown Springfield.
Held alongside the Mid-West Charity Cruise, the
show features the finest classic, antique and sport
vehicles in Illinois, as well as three antique
motorcycle classes. This year, a special Marque
Award will honor all American Motors vehicles.
Come out and enjoy the dazzling display of steel
and chrome, or stop by our Swap Meet or the
antique tractor exhibit.

Special Event License Plates may be displayed on your passenger vehicle, B-Truck or recreational vehicle for 60 days prior to the show on Sept. 8, 2007. Special
Event License Plates also may be displayed on vehicles with Antique Vehicle License Plates. Return this form with a check for $20 for each set of plates requested, and
a legible photocopy of the current vehicle registration ID card for the vehicle on which the plates will be displayed. Please submit a separate form for each set of
plates requested. If the plates will not be displayed on a vehicle, please state so that a copy of the registration ID card is not required.

Q. Why did the location of the show move from the
fairgrounds?
A. Downtown Springfield provides restaurants, shops,
historic sites and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential
Library & Museum in addition to the show.
Q. Are vehicles parked according to class?
A. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Q. How are vehicles judged?
A. Vehicles are judged based on an individual point
system, not compared to other vehicles.
Q. Parking and entrance to the show was confusing last
year. Has that been improved?
A. More signs and better instructions will be provided for
this year’s show.
Q. Where should I stay in Springfield?
A. Special hotel arrangements and rates are available
for out-of-town participants at the Hilton Springfield,

1530, 217-789-0709 (fax). Be sure to mention the
Secretary of State Antique Vehicle Show when making
reservations. Special rates are available through Aug.
