Publication of Names of Apparent Owners of Abandoned Property

I. Mandatory Requirements
The Illinois Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act requires the Office of the Illinois State Treasurer to notify Illinois residents who appear to be owners of Abandoned Property of that fact. To this end, the Treasurer is requesting bids from Vendors which publish an English Language newspaper of general circulation in Cook County, Illinois with distribution in the collar and downstate counties, to publish the names and addresses of persons appearing to be owners of Abandoned Property with last known addresses in Cook and surrounding collar counties in Illinois.
The approximate number of such names and addresses is in a range of 105,000 to 108,000. The information will be forwarded to the successful Vendor along with a layout for the front panel which may include text, photographs and graphics. Vendor will also be forwarded an inquiry form, which shall appear on the back panel (physical dimensions: 11” x 7.75”).
Names are to appear in bold type.
Vendor shall be given data supplied by the Treasurer, which must appear along with the names and addresses of the apparent owners of Abandoned Property in the Sunday, February 6, 2005 edition of Vendor’s newspaper.
Vendor shall include the identical data in its downstate edition of the February 6, 2005 publication.
Vendor shall further include such identical data in the February 6, 2005 publication on its web site on the Internet to remain on the web site for a period of sixty (60) days.
Vendor shall provide the Treasurer with two (2) tear sheets reflecting the name of Vendor’s newspaper, date of publication and the “NOTICE OF NAME OF PERSONS APPEARING TO BE OWNERS OF ABANDONED PROPERTY” and return it to the Treasurer along with any material provided to Vendor relative to the listing of such names of apparent owners of Abandoned Property.
