Property Tax Appeal Board Meeting
Held on February 15, 2012
Des Plaines, Illinois
1. ROLL CALL: Chairman Crist; Jim Bilotta; Kevin Freeman (via conference phone); Mauro Glorioso, and Mickey Goral.
STAFF: Louis G. Apostol, JD, CAE, Executive Director;
Steve Waggoner, JD, Administrative Law Judge
Dianne Lerman, Recording Secretary
VISITOR: Russell Plocke
Chairman Crist convened the meeting at 9:35 a.m.
Chairman Crist acknowledged the presence of Russell Plocke who attended the PTAB meeting as an observer.
Mr. Glorioso moved for Mr. Freeman to participate in the meeting by conference phone. Mr. Goral seconded the Motion and it carried 4-0.
2. Approval of the Board Minutes for the January 10, 2012 Meeting:
Mr. Goral moved to accept the Board Minutes of January 10, 2012 as presented. Mr. Glorioso seconded the Motion and it carried 5-0.
3. Executive Director’s Report:
Mr. Apostol informed the Board that PTAB continues to stay under budget for FY 2012. This is primarily due to the hiring freeze and management efficiencies. He further reported both Dianne Lerman and he attend regularly scheduled meetings with CMS Labor Relations, GOMB and AFSCME in preparation of the FY 2013 State budget. He stated FY 2013 will be a difficult budget year due to deficiencies in State revenues with increased
