The Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities is a 29-member body created by the Illinois Council on
Developmental Disabilities Law (20 ILCS 4010/2003). The Council’s function is to serve as an advocate for all
persons with developmental disabilities to assure that they receive the services and other assistance and
opportunities necessary to enable them to achieve their maximum potential through increased independence,
productivity, and integration into the community.
This digest covers the compliance examination of the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities for the two
years ended June 30, 2011.
There were no material findings of noncompliance disclosed during our examination.
We conducted a compliance examination of the Council as required by the Illinois State Auditing Act. The
Council has no funds that require an audit leading to an opinion on financial statements.
