Property Tax Appeal Board Meeting
Held on January 10, 2012

1. ROLL CALL: Chairman Crist; Kevin Freeman; Mauro Glorioso, and Mickey Goral. Jim Bilotta was not present due to his Senate confirmation.

Chairman Crist convened the meeting at 10:05 a.m.
2. Approval of the Board Minutes for the December 13, 2011 Meeting:
Mr. Goral moved to accept the Board Minutes of December 13, 2011 as presented. Mr. Freeman seconded the Motion and it carried 4-0.
3. Executive Director’s Report:
Mr. Apostol presented a budget update for FY 2012. He reported that PTAB continues to be under budget at this time due to staff vacancies and management efficiencies. He further reported he is in discussions with GOMB for the proposed FY 2013 budget. He reported that PTAB is seeking a modest increase in FY 2013 only to cover scheduled step increases for bargaining member staff.
Mr. Apostol distributed an updated floor plan for the Des Plaines Office. He also distributed a list of open appeals and has directed staff to resolve in a timely manner. He also distributed a summary of the PTAB Appeal Process that will be used as part of the new staff training program.
