Chairman Crist convened the meeting at 10:07 a.m.
2. Approval of the Board Minutes for the August 9, 2011 Meeting:
Mr. Goral moved to accept the Board Minutes of August 9, 2011 as presented. Mr. Gorski seconded the Motion and it carried 4-0.
3. Executive Director’s Report:
Mr. Apostol reported that PTAB is under budget for FY2012 through August 31st. He reported on operational activities at both the Springfield and Des Plaines offices. He also reported that Elizabeth Allen has joined the Des Plaines Hearing Officer Staff as a Technical Advisor II (attorney) and gave a brief overview on current staff activities and other operational issues.
Mr. Apostol reported he is working with HR and CMS staff to review job descriptions to reflect current workflow issues. He also reported on current recruitment activities to restore Hearing Officer and Clerical staff in an effort to reduce the backlog of cases pending before PTAB. He further reported that in an
