Illinois CAS Project Team
The Illinois CAS Project team has
strived to consider the perspectives
of all participating institutions across
sectors. In order to continually im-prove
in this effort as the Project
matures, the team has grown to in-clude
community college represen-tation.
Mike Henry, Parkland College Direc-tor
of Admissions and Enrollment
Management, will be serving as a
Project Co-Director. In addition, we
are increasing consultation with
staff from both the Illinois Commu-nity
College Board and the Illinois
Board of Higher Education.
The expanded team has thus far
met once and looks forward to
working together on a growing
statewide Project.
Supplemental Funding
In response to the FY06 RFP process, a limited
amount of funding has been distributed to
Illinois CAS participating institutions to de-velop
the systems and environment neces-sary
to implement or enhance CAS.
With the grant period coming to a fast end,
all funds must be dispersed and the evalua-tions
received (or on their way!). All institu-tions
that received funds must complete a
brief evaluation.
Please see to it that this document, which
was due August 1, is submitted as soon as
possible if you are a grant recipient and your
award is completed. We must receive all
evaluations before the end of Au-gust.

Project Funding
The Illinois CAS Project has recently submitted
a request for continued Higher Education Co-operation
Act (HECA) funding. The hope is
that the Project will receive support for expan-sion
so that we will be better able to assist the
18 currently licensed CAS Receiving institutions
and the 67 participating CAS Sending institu-tions
(which include all Receiving institutions;
39 community college districts comprising 48
colleges; and two independent institutions).
Expect an announcement to be communi-cated
via the Illinois CAS Project listserv soon
indicating the outcome of the request.
