APPELLATE COURT OF ILLINOIS
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF ) Appeal from the Circuit Court
ILLINOIS, ) of Du Page County.
v. ) No. 03--CF--2229
ROY G. MOORMAN, ) Honorable
) George J. Bakalis,
Defendant-Appellant. ) Judge, Presiding.
PRESIDING JUSTICE GROMETER delivered the opinion of the court:
Defendant, Roy G. Moorman, appeals the judgment of the circuit court of Du Page County
finding him guilty of possession of a controlled substance (720 ILCS 570/402(c) (West 2002)). He
raises two allegations of error. First, defendant argues that the trial court erred in denying his motion
to suppress physical evidence and a statement he made. He also contends that he was not proven
guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. For the reasons that follow, we affirm.
Before proceeding further, we remind defendant's appellate counsel of the necessity of
complying with the supreme court's rules governing the form and content of appellate briefs. Rule
341(e)(7) requires that the argument section include citation to the portions of the record relied upon.
