The holiday season has officially begun, and with it the
inevitable busy schedule. If you don’t have time to go to the
gym or to set aside time for working out don’t worry! You can
take advantage of your demanding holiday schedule and use
it to help accumulate miles for Walk Across Illinois.
If you are brave enough to withstand the cold Illinois winter
weather, snow shoeing, shoveling snow, and cross country
skiing are three great ways to log miles outdoors. You can also
gain miles viewing the holiday lights in your neighborhood,
spending time with your family decorating your house,
or shopping for all of your loved ones. There are plenty of
holiday walk events scheduled all around the state. To
learn more about events taking place around your area visit
www.illinoismainstreet.org, or visit your local
town website for a list of holiday activities.
Also, make sure to check in next month when
we highlight the numerous Eagle watching
locations that can be found in Illinois!
