SUBJECT: 2010 State Board of Education Catalogue of Reports
The School Code (105 ILCS 5/2-3.87) requires the State Board of Education to submit annually to the General Assembly and Governor a "catalogue containing each report which the State Board of Education was required to make during the preceding 12-month period to the General Assembly or to the General Assembly and Governor."
During calendar year 2009, nineteen reports were submitted to the General Assembly and Governor in compliance with statutory provisions. These reports contain a variety of topical areas which are useful to lawmakers in considering the effectiveness of educational programs.
This catalogue identifies the material that was formally transmitted to meet legal requirements. We also welcome requests for information regarding elementary and secondary education from individual legislators at any time.
