Property Tax Appeal Board Meeting
Held on February 10, 2009
Des Plaines, Illinois
1. ROLL CALL: Present: Carlos Montoya, Chairman; Michael
Goral; Walter Gorski; Mauro Glorioso
Absent: Kevin Freeman
STAFF: Louis Apostol, Executive Director

Patti, Jennifer Vesely
Chairman Montoya convened the meeting at 9:35 a.m.
2. Approval of the Board Minutes for the January Meeting:
Mr. Glorioso moved that the minutes from the January 13,
2009 meeting be amended to reflect his recommendation that
the filing fee effective date be July 1, 2009 instead of
assessment year 2009 which was not reflected in the current
draft. Mr. Gorski seconded the motion. Mr. Goral moved
that the minutes be approved as amended. Mr. Gorski
seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
3. Executive Director Report:
Mr. Apostol advised the Board that he met with Ginger Ostro
of OMB about the FY 2010 Budget. PTAB's budget will be
moved from the General Revenue Fund (GRF) into the Personal
Property Tax Replacement Fund for FY 2010.
Mr. Apostol informed the Board that PTAB received approval
to hire three 75 day clerical employees to help with the
caseload in Springfield.
