The parties of record before the Property Tax Appeal Board
(hereinafter PTAB) are Karen Newbury, the appellant, by Attorney
Arnold G. Siegel in Chicago and the Cook County Board of Review.
The subject property consists of a 3,200 square foot parcel of
land containing a 116 year-old, two-story, frame and masonry,
single-family residence with two baths, air conditioning, a
fireplace, and a full, finished basement. The appellant, via
counsel, argued that the fair market value of the subject
property was not accurately reflected in the assessment because
of an error in the subject property's square footage.
In support of this argument, the appellant submitted a black and
white photograph of the subject property, the assessor's website
property characteristic printout, a survey for the subject
property, and a brief from the appellant's attorney. The
appellant's brief argues that the market value of the subject
using the per square foot of living area value would reduce the
total value of the subject if the subject property's correct
