Public Affairs Center/Sangamon Auditorium
• A coat check will be available in the auditorium lobby,
Level 2.
• Handicapped parking is available in Lot E and Lot C.
• A shuttle bus will be available to transport guests from
the Amtrak station (3rd & Washington Streets) to
UIS at no cost.
• Valet parking will not be available for the event.

From Monroe Avenue, turn right
(south) on South 5th Street.
Proceed for several blocks as 5th
Street becomes 6th Street. Turn
left (east) on to Lincolnshire
Road and proceed over Octavus
Via until Lincolnshire dead-ends
into Eleventh Street. Turn right
on Eleventh and follow the curve
through the Hazel Dell stoplight, an
industrial park and railroad tracks.
Turn left on Ernest Hemingway
Drive and proceed to Eliza Farnham
Drive. Turn right onto Farnham
and then right into Parking Lot
D or left towards Lot C (Lot C is
on both sides of street). Enter the
PAC through lower circular drive
entrance, nearest flagpoles.
From I-55 South or North
Take Exit #90 turning east (left
if coming from the north, right if
coming from the south) onto
Toronto Road. Turn left (north)
on 11th Street. Turn right (east)
on Vachel Lindsay Drive. Follow
signs to Public Affairs Center/Guest
Parking.
From I-72 West or East/US 36
Merge onto I-55 South. Take Exit
#90 turning east (left if coming
from the north, right if coming
from the south) onto Toronto Road.
Turn left (north) on 11th Street.
Turn right (east) on Vachel Lindsay
Drive. Follow signs to Public
Affairs Center/Guest Parking.
