Property Tax Appeal Board Meeting
Held on November 18, 2008
Des Plaines, Illinois
1. ROLL CALL: Present: Carlos Montoya, Chairman; Michael
Goral; Kevin Freeman; Walter Gorski
Absent: Sharon Thompson
STAFF: Louis Apostol; Steve Waggoner; Eileen
Castrovillari; Mauro Glorioso; Thomas McGovern;
Katherine Patti; Laurie See; Jennifer Vesely
Chairman Montoya convened the meeting at 9:30 a.m.
2. Approval of the Board Minutes for the October Meeting:
Mr. Gorski moved to approve the minutes of the October 21,
2008 meeting. Mr. Freeman seconded the motion and it
carried unanimously.
Chairman Montoya moved that the Executive Director purchase
a plaque for Sharon Thompson, who will be leaving the
Board, to show their appreciation for all of her
contributions. Mr. Freeman seconded the motion and it
carried unanimously.
Mauro Glorioso will be welcomed at the December Board
Meeting. He is replacing Sharon Thompson on the Board.
3. Executive Director Report:
Louis advised the Board of the agency's 2 biggest
challenges facing PTAB at this time. The volume of appeals
