The Outlook Newsletter Overview
Greetings! Welcome back! Hello to new readers of The Outlook! We are looking forward to
reaching you via this electronic newsletter to share important regulatory updates, timely
information, news, due dates, events, and happenings. The Outlook newsletter is published
monthly, August through May for those participating in School Nutrition Programs. With the
Child Nutrition Reauthorization passage, we intend to keep you informed of critical approaching
due dates; therefore, it will be especially important to read The Outlook on a regular basis. New this
year is the Child Nutrition Reauthorization section with specific countdowns; a Commodities
Update; and notices of honors, awards, recognitions, and positive news about Illinois School
Nutrition programs.
The Outlook may look a little different because
we have added section headings to regular
content areas and added additional regular
features. Hopefully the section titles will help
you scan specific articles you need to read or
pass along to appropriate staff.
