Property Tax Appeal Board Meeting

1. ROLL CALL: Carlos Montoya, Chairman; Sharon Thompson;
Michael Goral; Kevin Freeman; Walter Gorski

Chairman Montoya convened the meeting at 9:10 a.m.
2. Approval of the Board Minutes for the May Meeting:
Mr. Gorski moved to approve the minutes from the May 20,
2008 meeting. Mr. Freeman seconded the motion and it
carried 4-0 with Ms. Thompson abstaining.
3. Executive Director Report:
Ron presented final recommendations to the Board, noting
that with Board approval of his report, the changes would
go to JCAR in order to begin the 2nd Notice period. He
emphacized that the changes contained much of what had been
received in the way of public comments, in several cases
spelled out the need to view many of our responses as
focusing on the individual circumstances involved and still
contained the requirements necessary for PTAB to function
effectively from a procedural point of view.
Chairman Montoya wanted clarification that our proposed
rules would not keep appellants from being able to submit
