Property Tax Appeal Board Meeting
Held on May 20, 2008
Des Plaines, Illinois
1. ROLL CALL: Carlos Montoya, Kevin Freeman, Walter Gorski
STAFF: Ron Messina, Executive Director

Chairman Montoya convened the meeting at 10:00 a.m.
2. Approval of the Board Minutes for the April Meeting:
Mr. Freeman moved to approve the minutes from the April 15,
2008 meeting. Chairman Montoya seconded the motion and it
carried unanimously.
3. Executive Director Report:
Ron mentioned that the statutory changes that need General
Assembly approval will probably not go through. He will
bring the rule recommendations to the Board at the June or
July meeting taking into account the removal of the
statutory changes.
Our new docketing procedures will soon be in place. We
will display how the process works at our June meeting.
The next project for our IT staff involves the ability to
close board meetings in one entry.
The highlighted decision that was on the agenda for the May
board meeting will be moved to the June meeting.
