An Act making appropriations.
ARTICLE 1
Section 1. The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be
necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named,
are appropriated to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of the
Senate:
For the ordinary and incidental expenses of legislative
leadership and legislative staff assistants:
001–10110–1910–0100 President.............................................. $ 3,747,600
0200 Minority Leader........................................ 3,747,600
0300 For the ordinary and incidental expenses of committees,
the general staff and operations, per diem employees,
special and standing committees of the Senate and
expenses incurred in transcribing and printing
of Senate debate....................................... 2,899,600
0500 For the ordinary and incidental expenses of the Senate,
also including the purchasing on contract as required
by law of printing, binding, printing paper, stationery
and office supplies.................................... 155,700
For allowances for the particular and additional
services appertaining to or entailed by the
respective officers of the Senate named in and in
accordance with the following schedule:
0600 President.............................................. 60,700
0700 Minority Leader........................................ 60,700
0800 For travel, including expenses to Springfield of
members on official legislative business during weeks
when the General Assembly is not in session............ 41,900
1500–0000 For purchase of equipment............................... 1
Total................................................... $ 10,713,801
001–10110–1910–0100 Section 2. The sum of $502,700, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
is appropriated for the use of the Senate standing committees for expert
witnesses, technical services, consulting assistance and other research
assistance associated with special studies and long range research
projects which may be requested by the standing committees.
196–10110–1910–0000 Section 3. The sum of $48,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
is appropriated from the General Assembly Operations Revolving Fund to
the Office of the President, to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses
of the Senate.
Section 4. The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be
necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named,
are appropriated to meet the ordinary, incidental and contingent expenses
of the House Majority and Minority Leadership Staff and Office operations:
001–10120–1900–0100 For the Speaker......................................... $ 3,356,500
0200 For the Minority Leader................................. 3,356,500
Total................................................... $ 6,713,000
Section 5. The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be
necessary, are appropriated to meet the ordinary, incidental and
contingent expenses of the House Majority and Minority Leadership Staff
and the general staff:
001–10120–1900–0700 For the Speaker......................................... $ 260,200
0600 For the Minority Leader................................. 118,000
Total................................................... $ 378,200
Section 6. The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be
necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named,
relating to the operation of the House of Representatives, are
appropriated to meet its ordinary and contingent expenses:
