Property Tax Appeal Board Meeting
Held on February 19, 2008
Des Plaines, Illinois
1. ROLL CALL: Carlos Montoya, Chairman; Michael Goral; Kevin
Freeman

Chairman Montoya convened the meeting at 10:00 a.m.
2. Approval of the Board Minutes for the January Meeting:
Mr. Freeman moved to approve the minutes from the January
15, 2008 meeting. Mr. Goral seconded the motion and it
carried unanimously.
3. Executive Director Report:
Ron mentioned that information about the budget has been
embargoed until Wednesday, February 20th.
All staff are now using an electronic attendance form which
keeps the calendars up-to-date in both offices.
We are about to post on our website an appeal form
instruction sheet which will help taxpayers fill out their
appeals. Fifty percent of the calls PTAB receives involve
questions on how to fill out an appeal, so we are hoping
this new form will reduce our call volume.
