Ridge Library Users
Borrow 1958 Books
During First 4 Weeks
The Chicago Ridge Public
Library Commission an-nounced
Saturday that at the
end of the first four weeks
of operation the Library had
issued 758 Borrower's cards
and checked out 1,958 books.
The Library was open a total
of 92 hours, staffed at all
times by two volunteer help-ers
for a total of 184 hours
worked.
A story hour was conduc-ted
every Saturday morning
at 11: 00, attended by about
30 children each week.
Children have been the
largest users of the Li-brary's
facilities, and the
librarians would like the
adults of the Village to know
that there is a wide selec-tion
of adult fiction and non-fiction
books available for
their pleasure and informa-tion.
